Returns and Exchanges

We apologize for any inconvenience but are unable to offer exchanges at this time.

Was the item you ordered not what you had in mind?  You do not need any prior authorization to return items purchased from MetPet.com.  Please note the following:

Requirements for a Refund

  • Items must be in new and unused condition
  • Items must be returned in the original packaging
  • Items must be returned with tags
  • returns must be postmarked within 30 days of when you received your order
  • please keep any free gifts or promotional items
  • there are no restocking charges of any kind
  • you can use USPS to mail back your return to us or you can use our flat rate $7.95 charge for each return shipment that will be deducted from your refund. Once you notify us of your return, we will send you a USPS return shipping label. 


Please return the items with a copy of the invoice or include the order number, name and shipping address inside the package so that we may identify your order.

Unfortunately, we are unable to accept any returns that do not meet the above criteria.  Any promotional items or gift-with-purchase are always yours to keep for free with our thanks for your business.

Refunds may not show on your account until the following billing cycle. If you would like to know the status of your refund or have any other questions about returning product, please contact us via email and provide us with an order number, name and shipping address so we may locate your order.

If the items you wish to return were originally shipped in a box, please return them in a box.  Envelopes offer insufficient protection for some of our products and can result in damaged items. 

We will refund to you the cost of the product that you have returned but not the cost of any outbound S&H unless there was an error on our part.  For your protection, we recommend that you insure your return or confirm that the service you have chosen includes insurance if you are purchasing your own shipping. Please note that MetPet.com cannot refund the cost of inbound shipments unless there was an error on our part.

For orders that are not deliverable, unclaimed or refused at the address provided, the returned order will be treated as if it were a return.

Credit will be provided to the credit card used to make the purchase.  Thank you.
