Walk the Dog Wool Socks
Walking the dog is so much nicer when your
feet are totally comfortable

Wool has come of age. It's no longer the itchy, scratchy,
uncomfortable fabric of the last century, it's soft, silky, sturdy and warm.
Long, thin merino wool fibers are made into all kinds of apparel but we
especially appreciate the socks.
Since dog walking is a major daily activity, why not keep your feet
comfortable? Wool socks are especially nice inside rubber boots which,
even if they have a fleece lining, tend to be a bit chilly. If
you choose extra padding in your socks, be sure to order up a half size in
your shoes and boots.
Wool socks in different weights, thicknesses and for different
activities are available from a wide variety of manufacturers. Those who are allergic to wool may even find these tolerable.
Although they are warm in the winter, lightweight versions can be
comfortable during the warmer months as the material has good wicking
properties which helps remove moisture build up in your shoes. Basic care
should make your wool socks last for many years. They can be machine
washed in cold water and tumbled dry on low. They should not be
bleached or dry cleaned.
We
can't think of anything more important for walking the dog than taking care
of your feet. Comfortable socks, shoes and boots will make the three
times a day jaunt very enjoyable. Related Information:
