Nail Covers for
Cats and Dogs
Alternatives to declawing
MetPet.com Staff Writer
If your cat (mostly) or dog is creating havoc on your nice
furniture or wood floors, this company provides vinyl nail covers. They come in a
variety of sizes and must be glued onto each nail individually. As the nail grows,
approximately one month, the caps need to be replaced.
Soft Paws offers one alternative to the declawing of cats
which is a serious, painful and irreversible
surgery. They are not for everyone or
every situation, but may be just the solution you are looking for.
The interesting thing about the caps are the colorful and
intense colors they come in. Although there is a clear version, we really
love the look of bright red caps on your unsuspecting pooch.
Of course a third alternative to the claw problem is to clip
just the sharp tips off of your pet's claws. This won't make the rest of
the nail any softer but they'll be less likely to put holes in you or your
furniture!
